About the project (provided by the applicant)
Childhood is a crucial stage in the formation of personality. Time spent in kindergarten lays an important mental foundation, as well as key skills and abilities.
The core idea of the architectural concept is the use of the circle as a form symbolizing unity and harmony. The circular shape of the kindergarten draws on the traditions of indigenous housing in Senegal.
The project aims to create a maximally playful environment, achieved through several factors:
- Circular space, which is most conducive to communication.
- Non-standard shapes of elements (classrooms, windows).
- Active use of color, important for child development.
- Variety of textures.
- Connection to cultural traditions.
The architecture becomes more than just a building; it fosters cognitive skills, communication, creativity, respect for nature, and appreciation of one’s own culture, while ensuring comfort for the children.
