The site currently hosts the “Cascade” sanatorium building, which remained unfinished for many years and is now in a state of disrepair, leading to the decision to demolish it. The architects sought to preserve and reinterpret the main idea — the cascading concept that originally gave the place its name. The new sanatorium building follows the natural terrain: terraces descend along the slope, forming a stepped structure. This design maximizes views of the mountains and forest — nearly every room offers panoramic vistas, and the architecture appears to grow organically from the surrounding landscape.
