Project
Historical Spiritual and Patriotic Complex “Korostyn”
Category
Best Project of Public Space by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project includes a church, a monument commemorating the Korostyn Treaty, a museum, and a café.
The Korostyn Treaty marked a turning point, bringing an end to the prolonged conflict between the Novgorod Republic and the Grand Duchy of Moscow. This agreement not only ended the bloodshed but also became a crucial step toward the political unification of the Russian lands.
Today, this site remains undervalued and largely forgotten, even though it deserves to become a fully recognized federal-level landmark. Landscaping, the installation of a commemorative marker, or an architectural composition would breathe new life into it, restoring public and tourist interest. Let’s give new life to the place where Russia began!
