Project
Lake house interiors

Nomination
Best Implemented Interior Design Project Using Works of Art

About the project
Interiors of this out-of-town lake house were to put nature, architecture, and internal space in equilibrium. It was decided that works of art within the interior were to bring pleasant associations and yet be functional.

Besides a designer staircase and accessories, the house contains less typical items, which are sun-catchers and a fresco, all of them being both eye-pleasing and practicable. For instance, a sun-catching screen at the bed-head is used for space zoning. Its pattern follows Mark Shagal’s sketch for a Grand Opera dome lamp. In the bathroom, the semi-circular screen frames the bath and divides the bathroom space, also serving as a color accent.
