Best Implemented Restoration / Reconstruction Project

About the project
Our office was suggested to design a restaurant in Qeshm. The building had previously commercial use (supermarket), The project had financial, climatic, and environmental constraints, as follows:
1. 300 sq.m of wood were utilized in the project.
2. The main façade of the project with a large glass area was on the western side.
3. In order to provide safety, six rolling shutters were used in front of the glass.
4. Given the economic problems and sanctions on Iran, the project budget was limited. We decided to reuse the woods available in the project For this purpose, we made frames, used the collected wood inside them, and installed the frames as movable panels in the façade using the electric motor of one of the rolling shutters. The panels can control the sunlight using a remote control while preventing energy loss caused by the absorption of the thermal energy of sunlight. The panels, which can be completely closed and provide safety during the closing time of the restaurant.
