Best Project of Public Building or Facility

About the project
The mixed-use commercial building that sits on a plot with byelaws ruling a 100% ground coverage and 7 FAR. This results in a box like structures with glass façades, which predominate the vicinity. To break away from these stereotypical building masses, the building is designed with green courts on every floor. The huge mass growing vertically is divided into two by means of a central court to achieve a variation in massing.
The material palate; Exposed Concrete, brick and wood along with the green, is a conscious attempt to make the building humane in scale.
The green buffer and recessed verandas all around also work towards climate response and help in cutting sun.
