Best Implemented Façade or Interior Project Using Ceramics
About the project (provided by the applicant)
In this 480 sq.m. private house, porcelain stoneware was the key façade material, defining the building’s character. Its choice was driven by durability, longevity, and aesthetic expressiveness. Two types of porcelain stoneware were used — one with a stone texture and one with a wood texture — creating visual variety while maintaining performance qualities.
The architectural idea combines elongated geometric volumes clad in large-format porcelain stoneware, white plaster, and decorative aluminum panels. The contrast of massive stone surfaces with “warm” wooden textures forms a modern, harmonious appearance.
Special attention was given to details: the entrance area, terrace lines, and even the site fencing follow a unified stylistic approach. Porcelain stoneware works not only as a durable cladding but also as an expressive tool that gives the house character and emphasizes its integration with the landscape.
