About the project (provided by the applicant)
The interiors retain reflections of the architectural structure, meaning that the architecture sets the rhythm and mood for all interior spaces. The building, built in the neoclassical style in 1912, is under the protection of KGIOP and has a long and interesting history. The goal was to preserve some of its uniqueness, so stylistic features appear in the new interior as a contemporary interpretation of the preserved architectural heritage, expressed through playful, lively lines for children. This approach maintains a connection with the building’s historical architectural shell and serves as its modern continuation, creating a positive environment for the comfort and recovery of young patients.
A modern hospital is not a closed, “cold” building; it is a developing space that positively affects the well-being of young patients. Pediatric psychiatric hospitals are especially in need of such positive changes.
