About the project
This is a greenhouse restaurant heated with thermal springs. It is located 30 kilometers away from Yelizovo Airport, at the shore of the mountain lake Mikhizha - at the premises of Lagoon SPA Hotel.
Kamchatka is a seismic zone, and the structural answer to that was the laminated beams set, tied up with metal elements.
Sun beams touch the central windows only for a short time because of the restaurant’s location, so special skylights were designed to reflect the Sun and create a nice play of light and shadow.
The connection with the nature and eco-friendliness of the facility were in the spotlight. Coming back from a mountain tour for a dinner in this cozy restaurant, the guests would still be aware that they are staying at the world’s end, amidst rumbling volcanoes and infinite natural landscapes.
