The reconstruction of a dilapidated 1960s kindergarten transformed the building into a modern educational center following the Montessori system.
The existing structure was partially demolished, expanded, and a third floor with a usable roof was added, creating outdoor activity areas and a media space for performances and film screenings.
Inside, the center houses the «School of Mind» for grades 1–9, the kindergarten «Above the Rainbow,» nursery groups, development studios, as well as a gym, swimming pool, and recreation areas.
The architectural design transitions from a strict façade at the entrance to a more playful one near the kindergarten groups. Facade panels, brick, and panoramic glazing were used for finishing. The site is landscaped in harmony with the architecture, including sports and playgrounds, an amphitheater, and an educational experimental area with a greenhouse. The studio’s architectural and landscape project demonstrates how reconstruction can turn a devalued building into a modern «dream school.»
