Between 2023 and 2024, a large-scale restoration of the Moscow Triumphal Gates—one of the city’s iconic symbols and an outstanding 19th-century architectural monument—was carried out.
The scope of work covered all structural and decorative elements of this unique cast-iron structure. The project included complete cleaning of the façade and interior surfaces from old paint and corrosion, dismantling and reconstruction of the stylobate, restoration of the vertical cladding of the stylobate, filling losses in the connections of copper roof flanges, restoration of copper ceiling details (ionic elements), repair of the main spiral staircase, and complete painting of all elements and surfaces of the gates.
Thirty copper hammered figures of the Geniuses, eight acroteria (each large acroterion dismantled into 45 fragments, each small acroterion into 39 fragments with replacement of frames), and 294 bronze letters of the dedicatory inscription were transported to the workshop and fully restored.

Over 250 specialists participated in the restoration of the Moscow Triumphal Gates, including restoration artists, designers, technologists, structural engineers, architects, and art historians. Experts from KGIОP, the Customer Directorate, and the State Museum of Urban Sculpture were actively involved at all stages of the restoration.
