About the project (provided by the applicant)
My project “Mountain Cabin” is executed in hand-drawn graphics using ink and graphite pencil. The cabin is designed for short-term stays of tourist groups. The site is an open area in a rocky mountain landscape on the forest’s edge near a lake. I sought to convey the multilayered terrain through detailed rendering of the rock formations. Natural materials were used in the building’s design—stone, and wood with plaster—creating harmony with nature while demonstrating contemporary design solutions. The placement of the cabin was carefully developed and reflected in the master plan, ensuring accessibility to the site. The shape of the cabin resembles a ship with raised sails, evoking the proximity of water. The layout separates common and private areas: the first level includes a dining room, living room, and kitchen; the second houses a vestibule and storage; the third contains bedrooms and bathrooms.
