About the project
A prestigious project proposed in the vicinity of the Taj mahal, the Agra Museum in Agra is expected to develop into a tourist destination of international repute offering a platform to educate people about the Mughal Empire through its architecture and art.The brief is to evolve an architectural envelope to accommodate a Mughal Museum on the chosen site. Archohm has conceived and evolved the Mughal Museum project through collaboration.The absence of both agenda & artefacts, and the restriction of allowable built-up area of under 20,000 Sqm necessitate a modest and forthright approach towards creating the museum's program and its architecture. Absence of historical artifacts is accepted as a starting point, and a vibrant public space is set as the ultimate goal. The Museum of Permanent Exhibits: located at the basement level and categorized into themes such as nature, institutions, timeline etc. The Interface: located on the ground floor and comprising of the galleries for exhibition.

Archohm Consults Pvt. Ltd. Sourabh Gupta graduated in architecture, from the School of Architecture, CEPT University at Ahmedabad in India. With the insight provided there by the best in the realm of architecture, coupled with a stint in urban design from the architecture school at TU delft, the Netherlands and most importantly, propelled by a compulsive need to travel, explore and design, Sourabh initiated studio Archohm.
