In 2019, the reconstruction of the museum’s main building, a historic structure built in 1937 in the center of Murmansk, began. Upon completion, a new permanent exhibition was created.
Fourteen thematic exhibition halls were developed, combining the natural heritage, history, and culture of the Kola Arctic region. Key elements of the update included detailed handmade decorative objects and an integrated multimedia system with over 100 interactive and informational solutions. Specially designed interior and lighting solutions create a fully immersive experience — from precise reconstructions of natural landscapes to recreations of historical scenes. Interactive formats were implemented, including gesture-controlled installations and immersive projections. At the same time, the technological solutions complement rather than distract from the exhibits, enhancing and deepening the visitor experience.

Grata Adv production holding specializes in creating multimedia exhibitions and is co-author and developer of exhibitions for major federal museums, including the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill, for which it received the Moscow Mayor’s Prize and a Presidential Certificate of Appreciation from V.V. Putin for contributions to the preservation and promotion of cultural and historical heritage. Project development was carried out in close collaboration with museum specialists, who contributed to all stages from design to final decisions and installation.
