Project
Small Architectural Form “Music of Rain”

Best Architectural Project Created with Hand-Drawn Graphics

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The name “Music of Rain” comes from the contemplative experience envisioned for visitors inside the gazebo. Rain is seen as the tears of nature. The object is designed for a park located near a cemetery. People visiting the place of remembrance for their loved ones will be able to find inner peace within this structure, focusing on the sounds of nature and handpans.

The idea for the roof form was inspired by the leaf of Alchemilla vulgaris (lady’s mantle), a plant that gathers life-giving dew and directs it to the root through its leaf shape. At the center of the gazebo stands a tree, symbolizing the human life journey: the gaze follows from the roots to the trunk and the leaves, representing the life cycle, striving toward the sun, and overcoming obstacles. The roof, collecting raindrops, channels them into an overflow tray where handpans are placed — thus nature itself creates music.

The project was created to help visitors regain emotional balance.
