About the project (provided by the applicant)
As part of a diploma project, the territory located in Naryan-Mar was studied. The city lies in the Arctic zone — a priority area of development for Russia. A master plan was developed for the territory within the boundaries of Lake Kachgort’s shoreline and the historical part of the city. The project addresses the urgent need to develop territories of the Far North.
This public facility aims to ensure comprehensive development of the area in accordance with regulatory requirements; to form a unified and continuous structure of the embankment and the city’s waterfront; to create a new focal point in the form of a public cluster supplemented with a sports complex; to establish a year-round social and cultural program; and to increase the city’s attractiveness for residents, tourists, and youth. The architectural image of the complex supports and develops the spirit of the place by responding to the identified characteristics of the territory — climate, landscape, and ethnic features.
