Project
Residential Complex on the Okhta River Embankment
Category
Best Project of Building or Facility by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The main natural feature of the site is the Okhta River embankment, characterized by an irregular contour and a curved axis. The 5-meter-high riverbank is partially reinforced artificially. An area of active vegetation has been preserved along the river.
The planned extension of Udarnikov Street divides the territory into two parts, disrupting pedestrian connectivity along the embankment. To address this, the design includes an artificial lowering of the terrain in the roadway zone, maintaining continuity and safety for the pedestrian route.
The residential complex serves as a compositional focal point, shaping the main pedestrian route and central square. The architecture is designed with concise forms. The tower creates a height landmark for the block, directs movement from the central square in all directions, and contains apartments with the best views.
