About the project
The poduction is a poetic symphony based on the novel by Alexander Pushkin and adapted by Alexey Zhitkovsky.
Adaptation of the ingenious Pushkin's text might be quite a challenge. In fact, it seems near to impossible. Everything is already there in it, it is brilliant, scintillating and vibrant. You want to find one important thing in it, but you need everything. "Onegin" is an integral work. There is only one thing left to do – read and listen to ... a poetic symphony at the Youth Theatre.
"Onegin" is like music, like melody. It makes you want to listen to it, absorb it, follow it. Then you see images, pictures, the atmosphere, the era, people, their voices and characters. A whole world emerges in your mind. And after all, Onegin is our whole world.
