OSHI Izakaya Emperor Restaurant
Category
Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Public Space
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The interior of OSHI Izakaya on Petrovka Street is an exquisite box, a space combining Japanese tradition with European aesthetics. Inspired by the image of an emperor’s son who embraced European culture as his own and grew up between two worlds, the concept is reflected in the details: hand-painted elements, antique objects, noble textures, and deep symbols of transformation. Despite its compact size, the interior features a rich mix of materials—from concrete to antique lacquered façades in the chinoiserie style—and is carefully designed so that each zone tells its part of the overall story, creating an atmosphere of comfort, richness, and cultural dialogue.
