About the project (provided by the applicant)
This project addresses the monotony and isolation of typical Absheron compounds. Instead of high walls and empty streets, it revives the feeling of a real neighborhood — inspired by Baku’s traditions. The site is divided into four parts with shared courtyards, benches, and landscaping that foster community without compromising privacy.
Each of the 17 two-story houses includes a shared living zone and a private sleeping zone. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets. The master plan ensures comfort, natural light, and orientation. Yards are enclosed but maintain openness, with no house facing another. This project stands as a rare example where the architectural concept was realized without compromise. It reflects a unified vision between client and designers — a collaboration that resulted in a livable, emotionally resonant, and architecturally coherent community.
