About the project (provided by the applicant)
Pantoum is a house as a cycle of nature.
The house is a poem, where each architectural element becomes a repeating line that creates rhythm. The philosophy of the project is cyclicality and harmony, like in a pantoum, where the last line returns to the first.
The house reinforces the connection with nature. A cedar, grown in the taiga, now serves as beams and posts for the house, remembering how it once swayed in the wind among the trees, and now it supports a roof under which new stories are born. Its rings — a chronicle of storms and sun — are now part of the walls, like lines transplanted from the forest into the living space.
Siberia is not just a place; it is a state of mind. Pantoum is a house that breathes in rhythm with its heart. Here, beams are stanzas, windows are metaphors, and the silence between them is the most important word in the poem.
