Project
Parisian Chic: A Blend of Antiquity and Modernity in a St. Petersburg Apartment
Category
Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project feels as if it has stepped out of the pages of an old novel: the atmosphere of France intertwines with colonial Indian motifs, while elements of Morocco find continuation in St. Petersburg art. This apartment is designed for aesthetes who appreciate detail, quality, natural materials, and complexity.
The deep dusty blue ceiling creates a sense of depth, while glass double doors lead into the heart of the apartment — the living room. Here, the fireplace’s glow is softly reflected in mirrors with gilded frames.
One of the most complex elements of the project was the kitchen. It not only accommodates a dining area but also houses a gas boiler and a breather system. The study, the only room in dark tones, is designed in the English style, with strict, majestic dark walls and a coffered ceiling accented by a collection of colorful butterflies in frames.
The Twins design studio fulfilled all the clients’ wishes: arched openings, marble, “golden accents,” and works by renowned photographers.
