About the project
The production of the world premiere play Patience by Johnny G. Lloyd. This was an exploration in Black excellence and the struggles of living in absolute perfection. We watch the struggle of one Black man in search of his identity and agency outside of the perfect world built for him by his success and those around him. The design was an exploration in creating a highly curated and visually «perfect» world for the character to struggle against. A world in which nothing but the game of solitaire and anything connected to the game mattered.
