Project
Renovated Pioneer Pond in Gorky Park

Category
Best Implemented Reconstruction Project

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The renovated Pioneer Pond has opened in the Central Park of Culture and Leisure named after Gorky for recreation and swimming.

The pond underwent large-scale cleaning and for the first time became suitable for swimming — a historic moment for the Pioneer Pond. The swimming area has been made safe and comfortable, with a clean sandy beach and a gentle entrance into the water, which is especially important for families with children.

The shores of the pond were decorated with exotic plants, creating a space with an unusual resort-like atmosphere in the heart of Moscow. The project also features new green pergolas, whose architecture refers to the design of the main entrance arch to Gorky Park. To ensure comfortable recreation, all necessary infrastructure has been designed and installed: modern changing rooms, showers, restrooms, a café, and a children’s playground.
