Project
Pituach by the Sea, main lobby and floor lobbies

Category
Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Public Space

About the project
The lobby is located in the complex, closed to vehicles, and close to the shopping areas, entertainment complexes, and Herzliya hotels. Dana Oberson Architects studio was commissioned to plan the main lobby's layout and design and the complex floor lobbies. «The challenge for us was to create a 'quiet' plan, with a timeless, meticulous, and relaxed design.» Says Arch. Dana Oberson. The inspiration for the material palette came from the proximity to the marina and the sea. The light shades of sand in the travertine stone and the cladding are reminiscent of endless sand dunes. The pool area is covered with reddish yacht-like wood panels reflected on greenish water. The homogeneous language continues in the elevator lobby using brushed brass as well as, in the floor lobbies that are covered with thin earth-toned porcelain tiles. The result is a quiet yet powerful space that maintains proportions while adding a unique and elegant material palette that stands the test of time.
