Posolodino is a village in the Plyussky District of Pskov Oblast, located on the banks of the Chernaya River, 12 km west of the district center, the settlement of Plyussa. The church was built on an elevated site, 60 m west of the old wooden church. In 1901, the main altar of the new church was consecrated in honor of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem. The church was closed in the late 1930s. Since 2001, periodic prayer services have been held in the building.
Repair works began in the late 2000s: the interior volume was cleared, temporary roofs were installed, and temporary window and door fillings were partially completed. The church, created at the turn of the 19th–20th centuries, has survived to this day. In 2023, following the directive of Russian President Vladimir Putin to ensure the functioning of the restoration and development mechanism for cultural heritage sites in Pskov and Pskov Oblast, an autonomous organization took over responsibility for restoring the church.
