The proposed public center with hotel is located in the Kukisvumchorr district of Kirovsk, Murmansk Region. Special attention is given to the design of the square in front of the “Gornyak” Cultural Center, shaped by surrounding residential buildings and the hotel. The square features a semi-buried multifunctional space underneath, making the square its “roof.” This solution allows visitors to move between buildings in a sheltered environment protected from wind and snow, while also expanding leisure opportunities during bad weather.
As part of the diploma project, the hotel building was developed in the greatest detail. It is designed using modern materials and features a pointed, dynamic form that contrasts with the surrounding residential development.
