About the project
The production is a non-linear narrative based on Puskin’s novel and Tchaikovsky's opera of the same name, bringing together the book’s storylines with music to offer a fresh perspective. Viktor Gerasimenko, production and costume designer, created a somewhat of a habitat: multi-level and multi-texture, dynamic, complex both technically and staging-wise. The play features diverse and stunning light paintings, and the interplay between light and scenery elements is genuinely fine light art.
