About the project (provided by the applicant)
This house was designed for temporary residence and family events on a plot in Siversky, Gatchinsky District, Leningrad Region. The client, formerly a co-owner of an industrial enterprise involved in optimizing production processes and implementing modern innovations, is now an entrepreneur living permanently in Siversky with his family.
The main concept of the project was inspired by the client’s professional interest in contemporary industrial processes and architecture. As a result, the house was designed in the form of a hangar while being fully equipped as a comfortable residence. Nearly half of the interior is occupied by a large living room of about 150 sq.m with a ceiling height of approximately 6 meters. This space opens to the façade through a tall glazed gate-like opening framed by massive metal beams, along with windows of various shapes. The house is intended for temporary living and hosting family and friends.
