Reading Hall Interior of the Student Club Library
Category
Best Project of Public Space by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The reading hall interior addresses a key challenge of the modern library: creating a functional environment that combines private study and collaborative interaction under one roof.
The space is radically transformed using a system of inclined vertical structures made of light wood and sound-absorbing drywall. These dynamic elements not only divide the hall but also create a series of capsules for individual focus, providing visual and acoustic privacy. The inclined planes guide the eye and softly organize light flows, creating expressive shadow play and a changing perception of the space.
In contrast to these «silence capsules,» open zones are provided: islands for group discussions with interactive screens and rows of computer desks. In this way, the interior architecture becomes a tool of choice, allowing each student to find the ideal workspace—from complete immersion to collaboration. This creates a flexible and psychologically comfortable environment.
