Public Spaces Interiors of the “Reka” Clubhouse
Category
Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Public Space
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The interiors of the public spaces in the “Reka” clubhouse were designed by VSA.studio in collaboration with Pavel Andreev and GRAN. The project includes the lobby, galleries, elevator halls, corridors, a playroom, and restrooms.
The main concept is integration with the natural landscape: panoramic glazing connects the interior with its surroundings. The lobby and galleries continue the street, while halls and corridors form more intimate zones. Two themes are explored: a light “wooden” theme (nature, stone, wood) and a dark theme, creating a contrast between open and private spaces. The smooth floor lines evoke a riverbank, rounded forms suggest pebbles and rocks, and dark ceilings with spot lighting reference water and the night sky. Concrete planters and greenery in mailboxes and behind the reception desk reinforce the natural motif. The lobby ceiling features “clouds” and “leaves” integrated with lighting.
Materials include porcelain stoneware (concrete on the floor, wood and panels on the walls) and textured fiber-reinforced concrete panels, both compliant with fire safety regulations.
