About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project of the Lighthouse Museum on the territory of the Vaydaguba Lighthouse is aimed at preserving and promoting the historical heritage of the lighthouses of the Kola Peninsula, as well as creating a unique cultural space for local residents and tourists.
It is proposed to integrate the old lighthouse building into the museum complex, which will allow the preservation of its architectural value and its use as an exhibition space. The interior spaces will be reconstructed to accommodate the exposition.
The combination of brick and glass in the interior will emphasize the historical significance of the building, while wood and metal will add contemporary accents. The complex will include an indoor exhibition area with several observation decks. The exhibition spaces will be organized both in the new building and in the old lighthouse, which will become the compositional center of the entire complex.
