Project
Rotunda
Category
Best Implemented Project of Public Building or Facility
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The Rotunda was designed according to the strict technical specifications of the client. Its inspiration comes from examples of ancient Roman temple architecture, specifically the Forum of the Bull in Rome. The dome reaches a height of 11 meters, with a glass cell diameter of 11 meters. The total area of the building is 227 sq.m. A glass dome covers the central part of the rotunda, and the reflective effect is enhanced by a pool incorporated into the building’s composition.
The design also creates the effect of artificial aging of architectural elements, adding a sense of historic character to the structure.
