This rural library project was developed for a small settlement — the Beliy khutor in Temryuk District, Krasnodar Region — based on the existing outdated library located in the local House of Culture. The idea was to create a new public space that would serve as a place for intellectual exchange and contribute to the cultural growth of the local community.
The design includes functional zoning with several areas: quiet reading places by the windows, a round table for lectures, seminars, and literary evenings, and a cozy children’s corner for young readers. The interior is composed of simple forms and warm natural colors in furniture, which keeps visitors’ attention focused on reading. Spaciousness and openness were achieved by removing tall bookcases, which are placed only in niches between columns.
