About the project (provided by the applicant)
The School for Generation Alpha on the Okhta River Embankment is a modern educational complex with buildings for different age groups. The landscaped site includes a courtyard for relaxation, playgrounds and sports fields, a swimming pool, and a stadium. A special focus is placed on IT, robotics, and artificial intelligence to prepare children for the future.
The project concept is to create a campus where education does not suppress but develops. Its spirit extends beyond the walls: true learning should not be confined to rectangular classrooms.
Key ideas:
- Architecture breathes: jagged wall lines and an uneven courtyard mirror the curves of children’s energy.
- Technology is a language (games, video, editing) through which children communicate with the future.
- The courtyard is an extension of freedom.
This is a school turned inside out, where instead of “sit still,” the message is “run, invent, experiment.” If education is a cage, this project lets the birds out.
