Best Implemented Project of Residential or Mixed-Use Estate
About the project (provided by the applicant)
Screen 504 is a 21-storey residential tower in Udaipur, Rajasthan, featuring 78 four-bedroom apartments across a 20,000 sqm built-up area. Inspired by Udaipur’s 16th–17th century architecture, it reinterprets traditional “jaali” screens to combat extreme heat and enhance privacy. Each apartment has five balconies, including a double-height deck, with movable screens for climate control. Compact yet efficient, the layout maximizes natural light and ventilation, while amenities include a rooftop pool, garden, gym, and community spaces. Sustainable features include rainwater harvesting, greywater recycling, fly ash bricks, and local sandstone. Built with local labor, the project supports regional craftsmanship. Merging vernacular elements with modern construction, Screen 504 exemplifies critical regionalism and offers a replicable model for climate-responsive, culturally rooted high-rise housing in India’s tier-2 cities.
