Category
Best Restoration or Reconstruction Project by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The Regeneration project of the “Sennitsy” estate aims to revive a federal-level historical and cultural monument in Moscow Region. Based on extensive archival research and on-site surveys, a comprehensive restoration of lost elements of the ensemble is proposed: reconstruction of the Main House in its historical dimensions, restoration of the Wing with the kitchen, and the Greenhouse on the surviving foundations.
The key idea is a harmonious combination of heritage preservation with modern functionality. The estate will host a restaurant, museum, educational center, event spaces, a hotel, and a wellness complex. The project also includes landscape revitalization with restoration of the historical park layout, linden alleys, and a cascade of ponds.
The revival of the estate is aimed at creating new points of attraction, increasing the tourism and cultural significance of the region, and restoring the estate’s former grandeur.
