Project
“Sensual Monochrome”
Category
Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The clients invited me to design a 60 sq. m apartment (47 sq. m of project space) with a request for a modern interior in a gray-brown color scheme. Since the apartment is small and each square meter has a high functional load, it was important to create a unified visual narrative using connecting elements and solutions that smoothly transition from one space to another.
In the hallway, veneer panels extend onto the kitchen fronts, work desk, and windowsill. A single shade of porcelain stoneware is used across all non-living areas. Rounded corner radii start in the hallway and continue into the bedroom. The wall and ceiling colors in the corridor are repeated in the kitchen-living area and on the cabinet fronts at the apartment entrance. Warm lighting is used throughout without separating functional and decorative zones or work and relaxation areas. These solutions help make the interior cohesive and comfortable on a sensory level.
