Shading Canopy
Category
Best Architectural Project Created with Hand-Drawn Graphics
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project represents a shading canopy located on Mount Paasonvuori (Republic of Karelia), offering a picturesque view of the lake and the Karelian railway overpass. The shape of the canopy is inspired by the sharp outlines of Karelian cliffs. The materials — locally sourced wood, metal, and glass — were chosen for their environmental friendliness and harmony with the surrounding landscape.
