Best Implemented Interior Design Project for Public Space
About the project (provided by the applicant)
The client dreamed of a space where, after the chaos of the city, one could melt into practice, sip herbal tea in a cozy lounge, and feel transported to a tropical paradise. The solution was to take advantage of the 4.6-meter-high ceilings and add a mezzanine level. Thus, a “floating island” was born: downstairs are the changing rooms and showers, filled with daylight filtered through glass blocks; upstairs is a snug retreat with a kitchen and sofa, perfect for chatting with friends after class.
Delicate metal railings let in light while also supporting cascading climbing plants—evoking the feel of Balinese jungle greenery. In the lounge: woven chandeliers, handmade curving shelves, and a mysterious ornamental wall. Every detail breathes here: built-in shelves for yoga mats, open frame beams, and deliberately rough textures that enhance the atmosphere. It’s a place that invites you to slow down and tune in — where even the walls seem to quietly chant “ommm.”
