Project
Skies Above the Gulf of Finland suite

Category
Best Implemented Interior Design Project Using Works of Art

About the project
Interiors for the guest suite in the First Line Resort were inspired by the picturesque shores of the Gulf of Finland, its sand dunes, and Evgeny Domanov’s photographs “Flight of the Eagle” and his series “Japanese Cranes” (Hokkaido, Japan). The designers and the customer agreed that the project had to be aerial, featuring soft natural hues and natural materials – in support of the eco-friendly concept. The bed zone is separated from the sitting room with a light Japanese-style partition. The fireplace is decorated with Paranoia marble – Its each slab is unique and like a work of art. Rather ponderous furniture dissolves in the monochromic interior as the furniture fronts and the walls have the same color. Highlights of the interior are black and white photos, as well as the great view from the window.
