The Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow (with coins)” was designed by architect Alexander von Hogen and built in 1898 in the “Glass City” area of central St. Petersburg. In 1933, the church was completely dismantled, except for the chapel. Archaeological works carried out in 2012 revealed preserved fragments of the foundations and walls of the basement.
ASM Group LLC, in collaboration with Spectrum Group LLC, developed a comprehensive project for the reconstruction of the church and its interior, including the restoration of preserved fragments. Currently, work continues on creating monumental paintings on the walls and vaults of the church interior.
