Best Implemented Project of Private Residence

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The primary intent was to craft a dwelling that resonates with the poetic essence of its environment. The residence engages with its natural surroundings across three distinct planes: the garden, the upper deck, and the terrace. Each plane offers a unique interaction with nature and the night sky, fostering a sense of tranquility and connection. The design is anchored by a dominant curve profile roof plane, reminiscent of an artist’s palette, punctuated by a central oculus that serves as a focal point, framing the sky and allowing natural light to cascade into the living spaces, creating a serene and contemplative atmosphere. This pavilion-like structure nestles beneath the sweeping roof, establishing a dialogue with the undulating mountain ranges and sculptural boulders that characterize the locale.

Named Soham—‘I am That’—the project became a living sculpture. The process was rich with magic: from the evolving design on-site, to artisans align.
