“Taboo-Ethics”

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The installation “Taboo-Ethics” is an architectural structure, with its module based on the recognizable form of an ordinary stool.
Stools of different sizes are arranged in absurd positions and configurations, creating a whimsical spatial game that invites exploration. The theme of ASD 2025 encourages interpreting the stool as a metaphor for family—a well-constructed place where everyone has a seat and time for kitchen gatherings. Sitting on them at dinner, the family establishes rules of ethics, allowing some things and forbidding others.
The wordplay in the installation’s title, “Taboo-Ethics,” intentionally omits the letter R suggested by the form, creating a sense of imbalance, potential conflict, or simply mimicking a child’s speech.
