About the project (provided by the applicant)
The Museum of Sporting Glory of FC Torpedo Moscow is located on the territory of the Torpedo Sports Complex named after E. A. Streltsov and is designed to host a permanent exhibition of the club’s sporting achievements. The building’s volumetric-spatial form is monolithic, reminiscent of a mechanical industrial part — a gear. The façades are clad with aluminum panels coated to look like steel, featuring sandblasted engravings of the club’s notable footballers — Streltsov, Ivanov, Voronin, Ponomaryov, and others.
The museum has two floors. The first floor houses a cloakroom, shop, temporary exhibition space, restrooms, and technical rooms. The second floor hosts the permanent exhibition. At the center of the building, in a multi-light space, there is an installation of photographs of significant people and events related to the club’s history. The total building area is 500 sq.m., with a total exhibition area of 350 sq.m.
