About the project (provided by the applicant)
What is the relationship between the house, the alley, and the city? Buildings are like the rooms of a city, and alleys are the arteries that connect these spaces, forming a cohesive whole where the components are interconnected (the city as a house). Today, buildings have turned into closed envelopes that are silent and indifferent to the alley and the city, And its residents have enclosed themselves inside this envelope. This makes people indifferent to society and social currents, leading to social apathy. Higher-level laws and architecture are among the factors that have separated people from each other and the alley and neighborhood, pushing each into isolation. Additionally, the project site has faced destruction and decay due to its location over the past few decades. By designing residential spaces in this neighborhood, it is possible to help revive it and create better and more effective social relations through the connection between the house and the urban space.
