Project
Tourist route along the Moscow River

Nomination
Best Project of Public Space by a Student

About the project
Today the river is barely used for navigation, and the authors decided to revaluate its valley as a ecological, touristic, recreation and cultural frame of the south-eastern part of the region. The design ecoroute highlights the premisesconnecting settlements on the Moscow River. The route is 25 km long and comprises churches and monasteries, traces of ancient settlements, pseudoclassic Soviet-era facilities, and industrial sites. The unifying feature of these lands is the its artistic merit, concentrated in the very heart of the route – the artists’ settlement Peski.
