About the project (provided by the applicant) Through the work “Together,” sculptor Antonina Fathullina conveys the festival’s central idea of the need for closeness and mutual support in difficult times. The project represents a visual dialogue between place and person, reflecting the harsh climate of Kronstadt and human relationships. The work emphasizes the importance of understanding and unity.
Materials: metal/welding, primer, automotive paint.
The project emerged from figurative and sculptural reflections on the gentlest and closest warmth received from a loved one.
Location Fort Island Park, Kronstadt, Saint Petersburg, Russia
Artist and sculptor from Saint Petersburg. Antonina Fathullina has developed a unique approach to working with sculpture. Using durable materials such as metal, she creates light, airy structures, often combining iron with stone, wood, ceramics, and other materials. The objects themselves are open structures, seemingly extending beyond their physical dimensions due to their hollowness and work with transparency.
