This project celebrates the dialogue between Iran’s diverse regional identities. Designed for a family from central Iran and located in the country’s lush northern landscape, it weaves memory, place, and contemporary living into a unified architectural statement. The design responds to the client’s cultural background, the spatial logic of their hometown, and the presence of old trees on site, which guided the orientation and massing to preserve the natural setting. The architectural language is based on a contrast between semi-public and semi-private spaces, expressed through interlocking sloped-roof volumes that reinterpret the northern vernacular cottage. Materials in adobe tones and colored glass evoke the central regions’ traditional houses and the poetic presence of Orsi windows. The spatial sequence invites visitors to first encounter the cottage-like forms, then transition into spaces that subtly recall the atmosphere of Iranian domestic architecture.

pejman tayebi design studio
Pejman Tayebi is an architect based in Rasht, Iran. After studying at University of Guilan, IAU Central Tehran, and University of Tehran, he collaborated with several studios, contributing to award-winning projects and competitions. Since 2016, he has led his own practice, focusing on architectural and interior design, site supervision, and execution, with works recognized nationally and internationally.
