Project
Interior of VILLA K, a Country House in Kamchatka

Category
Best Implemented Apartment / Private House Interior Design Project

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The spatial concept of VILLA K is rooted in ensuring maximum residential privacy, offering the best possible views of the surrounding landscape, and protecting against harsh southeast winds. All living spaces are oriented westward—toward the hill—and arranged perpendicular to the home’s main communication axis, which runs north to south. The only exception is the open-plan living-kitchen-dining area, which opens southward through a tall glazed façade.

The interior finishes feature high-quality natural materials. The floors, staircases, and second-floor ceilings are made of bog oak, while the wall panels and doors are clad in maple veneer. The interior decoration echoes maritime themes: wall compositions featuring sailboats, docks, and seagulls appear in the living room and basement. These elements allude to the profession of the homeowner, whose work is closely connected to wildlife, the sea, and the fishing industry.
